Ted is an ordained Christian minister and served as a missionary, building Christian radio stations in Democratic Republic of Congo, Northern Kenya. Additionally Ted taught English at a seminary in Vera Cruz, Mexico..

​Well educated, Ted attended The Sorbonne in Paris, UCLA Westwood, 2 times at LSU Shreveport, 3 times at the Main Campus of LSU in Baton Rouge and Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand.
